Year 11 · National Curriculum (England)
Year 11 completes GCSE Computer Science in England. Remaining theory covers systems software, cyber security, ethical, legal and environmental impacts, and — depending on the board — relational databases and SQL or further algorithm work.
The programming assessment and the written papers both reward precision. Students must write syntactically correct code by hand, complete test tables properly, and use exact terminology. Working through past papers with feedback is what moves grades at this stage.
