Year 4 · National Curriculum (England)
Year 4 develops programming further — writing more complex programs using sequence, selection and repetition together, and working with variables (storing and using changing information within a program). Logical reasoning extends to explaining how simple algorithms work, not just following them.
Children also use a range of software to collect, analyse, and present data and information, connecting computing skills to other subjects.
