Eduqas A-Level Physics is taken in England and covers motion, energy and matter; electricity and light; oscillations and nuclei; fields and forces; and then one optional topic chosen by the school from alternating currents, medical physics, the physics of sports, energy and the environment, or particle physics.
The Eduqas papers place unusual weight on extended calculation with several linked stages, so a student who sets work out untidily loses marks that a more disciplined layout would have secured even where the physics is understood. The specified practical work is examined within the written papers rather than separately, and the practical endorsement is reported alongside the grade.
