OCR GCSE Physics (Triple Science) covers energy, electricity, particle model of matter, atomic structure, forces, waves, magnetism and electromagnetism, and space physics — the last topic only examined on the Physics-only route, not Combined Science. Assessment is across two papers, at Foundation or Higher tier.
Physics leans heavily on applying equations correctly and interpreting graphs, alongside required practicals that are directly examinable. Students taking Triple Science cover meaningfully more content and depth than the Combined Science route, which is worth confirming with your child's school.
