CBSE (Indian Curriculum) · Ages 6-7
Computer education in CBSE Class 1 introduces the machine itself. Children learn what a computer is, name its main parts (monitor, keyboard, mouse, CPU) and learn to switch a device on and off correctly and handle it with care.
They practise using a mouse to click and drag, identify keys on a keyboard, and use simple drawing and typing software. Many CBSE schools in the UAE also begin block-based coding at this stage through visual tools.
