Fourth grade computer science introduces variables — a way to store and change information such as a score, a timer or a name. Students combine variables with loops and conditionals to build genuinely interactive projects, and plan on paper before they code.
They also learn how computers represent information, what a network is, and how data travels across the internet. Digital citizenship covers digital footprints, respectful communication and recognizing misleading content.
