Year 7 · National Curriculum (England)
Year 7 introduces cells as the basic unit of life, and the particle model of matter — explaining solids, liquids and gases in terms of particle arrangement and movement. Forces and motion are studied more formally, and acids and alkalis are introduced through the pH scale and neutralisation.
Energy transfers (between stores like kinetic, thermal and chemical) are introduced as a unifying concept across physics topics, and biology introduces human reproduction at an age-appropriate level.
