CBSE Class 2 Mathematics extends number work to three digits. Children read, write and compare numbers to 1,000, learn place value in hundreds, tens and ones, and add and subtract with and without regrouping.

Multiplication is introduced as repeated addition, with the 2, 3, 4, 5 and 10 tables learned, and division as equal sharing. Measurement moves to standard units, time extends to the hour and half hour, and money problems involve simple addition and change.
