CBSE Class 12 Chemistry is a board examination subject and a prerequisite for medicine, pharmacy and chemical engineering. Organic chemistry accounts for the largest share of the paper.

Physical chemistry covers solutions, electrochemistry, chemical kinetics and surface chemistry. Inorganic covers the p-block, d- and f-block elements and coordination compounds. Organic covers haloalkanes and haloarenes, alcohols phenols and ethers, aldehydes ketones and carboxylic acids, amines, and biomolecules.

Named reactions and reaction mechanisms are examined directly and are the highest-yield thing to master. Numerical questions in electrochemistry, kinetics and solutions are the most dependable marks in the paper.
