CBSE Class 10 Science is a board examination subject combining chemistry, biology and physics, and its result strongly influences stream selection for Class 11.

Chemistry covers chemical reactions and equations, acids bases and salts, metals and non-metals, carbon and its compounds. Biology covers life processes, control and coordination, reproduction, heredity, and our environment. Physics covers light reflection and refraction, the human eye, electricity, magnetic effects of current, and sources of energy.

Numerical questions in electricity and optics, and balanced chemical equations, are where marks concentrate. The internal assessment and practical component also contribute to the final grade.
