Grade 4 coding introduces variables — named places to store information that changes, such as a score or a countdown. Students combine variables with loops and conditionals to build interactive projects, and plan a program before writing it.

They also learn what a network is, how devices communicate, and what a digital footprint means, alongside working with larger data sets in spreadsheets.
