Science

Year 1 Science introduces the habit of careful observation: identifying and naming common animals (fish, amphibians, reptiles, birds, mammals) and plants, and describing simple physical features. Students explore everyday materials — wood, plastic, glass, metal — and describe their properties.

Seasonal change is observed across the year, building the idea that science involves noticing patterns over time, not just single observations.
