Chemistry

A Level · WJEC / Eduqas

Eduqas A-Level Chemistry is taken in England and is organised into physical and inorganic chemistry, organic chemistry and analysis, and a unified assessment that draws the two together and includes practical work. The content is the standard A-Level chemistry core, and the difference from other boards lies chiefly in emphasis and question style.

Eduqas asks a high proportion of structured calculation questions in physical chemistry, and its organic sections lean towards mechanism and synthesis routes rather than recall of named reactions. As with its other subjects, the smaller pool of published past papers means students benefit from supplementing with AQA or OCR material for topic practice while rehearsing Eduqas papers for format.
