MYP 3 Sciences is often the last year of integrated science before biology, chemistry and physics separate in MYP 4 and 5. Content is correspondingly broad and more demanding.

Biology covers cells, genetics and ecosystems; chemistry covers atomic structure, the periodic table and chemical reactions with equations; physics covers forces, energy, waves and electricity with quantitative work.

The processing and evaluating criterion now expects proper graph work, identification of anomalies and a reasoned evaluation of method — the skills the Diploma sciences assume from day one.
