Class 4 EVS covers adaptation in plants and animals, the human digestive and skeletal systems, and food, its sources and preservation. Children also study different regions of India, their climate and how people live there.

The course looks at means of transport and communication, sources of water and the water cycle, safety and first aid, and the effects of pollution — beginning to connect human behaviour with environmental consequences.
