Cambridge IGCSE Physics (0625/0972) is examined at Core and Extended tier, with Extended required for A Level Physics. Assessment combines multiple choice, a theory paper, and either the Alternative to Practical or a laboratory examination.

Content covers motion, forces and energy, thermal physics, waves, electricity and magnetism, nuclear physics, and space physics. Candidates work from a formula list and must select, rearrange and apply the right relationship with correct units.

Graph work carries substantial marks — drawing a line of best fit, taking a gradient, and reading values accurately are examined skills in their own right, particularly on the practical paper.
