Cambridge IGCSE Co-ordinated Sciences (0654/0973) is a double award covering biology, chemistry and physics in one course and earning two grades. It is the route most international schools use for students who want a full science grounding without taking three separate IGCSEs.
Content mirrors the separate sciences at reduced depth across all three disciplines, and the qualification is accepted for progression to A Level in any of them, which makes it a genuinely flexible choice rather than a fallback.
The main difficulty is breadth rather than depth: three subjects on a shared timetable means pace is tight, and targeted support on the weakest of the three disciplines is usually the most efficient intervention.
