Year 2 computing moves from single sequences into programs with repetition. Children predict what a program will do before running it, then debug it when the result isn't what they expected — the beginning of genuine computational thinking.
They create and edit digital content with more independence: documents, presentations, simple animations and audio recordings, saving and organising their own files.
Data work introduces sorting and searching information, and online safety extends into recognising that not everything online is true and knowing how to report something that upsets them.
