Mathematics

Year 12 · Northern Ireland Curriculum

Year 12 is the final GCSE year in Northern Ireland. All CCEA Mathematics content is complete, so the year is dominated by the completion unit, past papers and exam technique at the entered tier.

Higher tier candidates work on algebraic proof, functions, advanced trigonometry, circle theorems, histograms and conditional probability. Foundation tier candidates focus on securing every accessible mark in number, ratio, basic algebra, geometry and statistics.

Targeted work pays most here: identifying the specific topics costing marks in mock papers and drilling those, rather than revising everything evenly.
