OCR's mathematical demand is real and often underestimated — statistical tests, standard deviation, chi-square and Hardy-Weinberg all appear, and the Unified Biology paper regularly presents unfamiliar data for interpretation. The practical endorsement runs alongside the written papers as a separately reported pass or fail, based on twelve required practical activity groups completed over the two years.
