Reading the Quran fluently and correctly from the mushaf.
Nazra is reading the Quran fluently and correctly directly from the mushaf, without memorisation. It is the natural step after Noorani Qaida and, for most families, the programme their child spends the longest in. Lessons work through the text page by page at a pace the child can sustain.
Progress in Nazra is measured in fluency rather than speed. A child who reads quickly but swallows letters or rushes the elongations is not further ahead than one reading carefully, and a good teacher will slow a student down rather than let errors set. Sessions usually begin with revision of the previous page, then new reading with live correction, and end with the teacher noting what to practise before the next class.
Meet a qualified Qari or Qaria in a full-length live lesson. Choose a male or female teacher at booking.
