Grade 11 typically means Algebra II: polynomial, rational, and radical functions, and a first proper treatment of exponential and logarithmic functions. Trigonometric functions extend beyond right triangles to the unit circle.

Complex numbers are introduced, along with sequences and series, and probability and statistics return with more mathematical depth than in middle school — this is also the year many students take the SAT/ACT, which draws heavily on this content.
