Year 10 begins WJEC GCSE Physics in Wales, typically covering electricity, generating electricity, energy resources and efficiency, and waves.

Formulae and units become central, and students meet the equation list used across both papers. The biggest change from Key Stage 3 is that answers must be worked rather than described — selecting the right equation and substituting cleanly is where the marks are.
