Physics

GCSE · WJEC / Eduqas

WJEC GCSE Physics is examined in two written papers plus a practical assessment component, and sits alongside Biology and Chemistry in the separate-science route in Wales.

Content covers electricity and generating electricity, energy resources and efficiency, waves and the electromagnetic spectrum, light, radioactivity and nuclear energy, forces and motion, Newton's laws, momentum, work and power, kinetic theory, magnetism and electromagnetism, and space physics including stars and the universe.

Physics rewards disciplined layout — selecting the correct equation, substituting with units and stating the answer clearly. That habit, plus practice on the six-mark extended-response questions, is what typically lifts a grade.
