CCEA GCSE Physics is assessed by written examinations plus a practical skills assessment, and sits alongside Biology and Chemistry in the separate-science route in Northern Ireland.
Content covers forces, motion and Newton's laws, momentum, work, energy and power, energy resources and efficiency, electricity and domestic electricity, magnetism and electromagnetism, waves and the electromagnetic spectrum, light, radioactivity, kinetic theory, and space physics including the life cycle of stars.
Physics rewards disciplined layout — selecting the correct equation, substituting with units, and stating the answer clearly. That habit, plus practice on the extended-response questions, is usually what lifts a grade.
