P5 · Northern Ireland Curriculum
P5 Using ICT builds more ambitious programs. Pupils use variables to store and change information such as scores and timers, combine loops with conditions, and design a program on paper before building it.
Managing information extends to formulas in spreadsheets and to structuring data in a database so it can be searched and filtered usefully.
Pupils learn how data travels across networks, what makes up a web page, and how to behave responsibly online — including recognising misleading content and understanding what a digital footprint is.
