P2 World Around Us builds on P1 exploration with more structure. Children study living things and where they live, plant seeds and observe growth, and learn what plants and animals need to stay alive and healthy.

Materials work moves into sorting by property and choosing the right material for a purpose. Movement, light and sound are explored practically, and children start to notice cause and effect — what changes when you change something.

Investigations become slightly more formal: predicting before testing, observing carefully, and describing findings in words and simple drawings.
