Science
Year 8 · National Curriculum (England)
Year 8 covers body systems in more depth, particularly respiration, alongside atoms, elements and compounds as the building blocks of chemistry. Electromagnetism is introduced, the link between electricity and magnetism, and ecosystems and interdependence explore how organisms rely on each other.
Chemical reactions are introduced formally for the first time, and physics work on waves covers both sound and light as wave phenomena with shared properties.
