Grade 9 · Canadian Curriculum (General)

Grade 9 Science in Canada (SNC1W in Ontario, with provincial equivalents elsewhere) is a single integrated course covering all four science disciplines rather than separate subjects.

Content covers biology (cells, cell division and sustainable ecosystems; chemistry) atomic theory, the periodic table, chemical reactions and compounds; physics (electricity, circuits and electrical safety; and Earth and space science) the universe and space exploration. Ontario's course also embeds STEM skills and Indigenous scientific knowledge.
